There are many variations of poker. It can be played with as many as four players, but the optimal number is six to eight. If you have a high hand, then the odd chip is awarded to you. This happens when two players tie and only one of them has a low hand. If two players tie, the pot is divided equally between them. If two players have identical hands, then the odd chip goes to the player with the higher card, regardless of suit. The hand must be at least a pair of aces in order for the player to win. Alternatively, a pair of aces is considered a high hand.<\/p>\n
