A basic game of poker is called five-card draw. In this type of game, players make an ante and then receive three cards from the deck. A player’s initial bet is called the “first blind.” In this variant, the player to the dealer’s left bets the second blind, which is usually double the first blind. If the dealer raises, the player must call. A player may raise their stake by adding more chips to the pot. This raise will depend on the size of the pot. In the final round, the player with the highest bet is called the “active player.”
